9/19/2021 The Reason Why God Has Called Us (Mk. 3:13-15)

Introduction:

God has called those he wanted. God called you, chose you before creation, because he wanted you. So many people struggle with their own self-worth, and depend on other things to measure their worth but God loved us first and called us. We have received the greatest grace that is immeasurable. People argue that the greatest miracle is cancer being cured or the walls of Jericho falling down, but our greatest miracle is believing in Jesus, and trusting in Christ. God loves you and knows everything we struggle with and finished it all on the cross. The gospel is so simple: God loves us and reached out to us first.

1. So That He Might Be With Us (verse 14) - Immanuel

We think heaven is out in space, and it might be. Though it is unseen to our eyes, heaven is within us and we can be with God through his word. Through Christ, God is with us. Even when problems come, God being with us is unchanging. People assume hell is after death, but living life in stress and anxiety is also hell. We can enjoy heaven right here where we are. God asks us to first enjoy Immanuel, and Jesus in the midst of our problems. We face our problems differently because Jesus is with us. Do I enjoy Jesus or am I filled with anxiety and complaints? God called us so that we could live a life filled with thanksgiving.

Rejoice always

2. To Send Us Out to Proclaim (verse 14)

When we enjoy Immanuel, people recognize the light that shines with us. God called us to proclaim the truth, to give the vaccine of Jesus Christ to all who are sick. People are so abused by Satan that they are numb, and unaware, bound by the things of the world. However, God called us to be Spiritual Ambassadors to shine the light and save the people around you. Therefore, there is no reason why we should feel lost. Instead, enjoy the calling that God has given you.

Only through the gospel and the strength of God can we truly build a 237 nations church where people of all races worship together.

3. To Give Us the Authority to Drive Out Demons (verse 15)

People are afraid to talk about demons but throughout the Bible, there are references to spiritual warfare and even Jesus himself fought it. Bullies might give you a break when they abuse you, but Satan attacks us 24/7. Therefore, its so important that we renew our minds.

1 John 3:8

All authority on earth has been given to me, therefore go and

The power of God is with us, because Immanuel, God is with us. Just like the age of the Nephilim in Genesis 6, we have been called by God into an age filled with darkness, to save it.

I have called you out of darkness, into this marvelous light.

Conclusion:

God knows all of the things you go through, and he is with you. Let’s make him our number 1 and lean on him, rely on him.
