8/8/2021 Restore the Blessing of the Throne (Daniel 3:16-18)

Introduction:

As children of God, we do not need to seek out blessings, because we have received everything through Jesus Christ. We are under the misunderstanding that we need to receive more blessings but have already received them. The blessing of the throne of heaven is the blessing we received through Jesus Christ, and the blessing through whom we have direct access to the throne of heaven. To meet the President of the United States, we need to go through so many security checks, but we can directly meet God through Jesus Christ. Just as God created trees to live in the ground or fish to live in the sea, God made man to be happiest in him, but in Genesis 3, we became sinners, separated by God and enslaved under sin and Satan. Apart from God, we are dead, with no choice but to sin. Sin is not just action but life apart from God in and of itself is sin. But while we were sinners, God displayed his love for us by giving his one and only Son to die for us on the cross: Jesus Christ. And when he died, we received forgiveness for our sins. We now have eternal life and the blessings of the throne of heaven.

Romans 5:8

Romans 8:1

We can see the blessings of the throne of heaven demonstrated in Shadrach Meshach and Abednego. They resisted bowing before the idol that King Nebuchadnezzar made, and so they are threatened with execution. In the face of death, how were they able to overcome? They saw God’s heavenly throne. We have the blessings of the throne of heaven and they are directly connected with our lives. When we come across problems, we can entrust them to God.

What does it mean to restore the blessings of the throne of heaven?

1.Restore the Spiritual Truth

King Nebuchadnezzar thought he was God so he made an idol of himself and ordered people to bow before it. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, however, knew the spiritual truth. We need to remember that the things that are most important in life are invisible to the eye. Although we cannot see, God is with us, and his angels are around protecting us. On the other hand, Satan and his demons are also working against us. To fight the spiritual battle, we need to see these spiritual truths. Without knowing the spiritual truth, we fight the wrong battles instead.

Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the…..

Rev 8:3-4

Angels are not just there to protect us, but angels carry our prayers to the throne on golden censers. We need to realize that God absolutely listens to and answers our prayers.

How does Satan work against us? By taking the word of God away from us. When Satan questioned Eve “did God really say to not eat…

Then how does Jesus fight back against Satan? With the word of God. Do I truly have God’s word in my life and do I follow it all the way?

Satan also works by attacking the family. For example, Cain and Abel.

When you have this spiritual mystery, you can enjoy it wherever you are, whether at school or work.

2. Restore the Spiritual Authority

What is spiritual authority? Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had no choice but to die because of their faith but they were not afraid. In the face of death, we can see their truth, their faith. They simply say

V. 17-18

Do I live that same kind of authority in my life? Not just as knowledge but as your truth. God has called you and I to restore this age with the gospel of Christ. How? By restoring and enjoying our spiritual authority.

3. Restore God’s Method

God’s greatest desire is to save souls, and for that purpose, God continues to move this universe, allows the sun to rise and set, and calls us as his witnesses. Like Joseph, God has called you and I to block disasters. However, we see that God never uses the majority, but calls the minority, those who know the spiritual truth and enjoy spiritual authority.

Conclusion:

Take just 10 minutes a day to directly access the throne of heaven, to see the spiritual truth and use the spiritual authority. God’s method is simply enjoying Christ through worship.
